Cutler Bay, Florida — A disturbing family violence case in South Florida has drawn attention after a woman accused of stabbing her teenage sister multiple times over a phone dispute avoided a lengthy prison sentence.
Authorities say the brutal attack unfolded inside the family’s home and left the 15-year-old victim critically injured after she allegedly caught her older sister searching through her cellphone.
Teen Allegedly Attacked After Confronting Sister
According to investigators, the violent incident happened on Oct. 26, 2025, when the teenage girl was resting on the living room couch inside the family home in Cutler Bay.
Police said the teen woke up and discovered her older sister, 26-year-old Lynn My Le, allegedly going through her phone without permission. After confronting her sister and trying to take the device back, the situation quickly escalated into violence.
According to an arrest form reviewed by Law&Crime, the teenager asked Le what she was doing after noticing her with the phone. Investigators say that instead of responding verbally, Le allegedly grabbed a knife and attacked her younger sister.
Victim Stabbed Multiple Times While Trying to Escape
Authorities said the teen attempted to flee toward the front door to escape the attack. However, prosecutors say Le chased after her and repeatedly stabbed her in the back.
Police stated the victim was stabbed 10 times during the assault before collapsing to the floor inside the home.
According to investigators, the attack only stopped after the teenager “pleaded for her life,” at which point Le allegedly walked away and left her bleeding on the floor.
The horrifying details of the case shocked investigators and later became central to the prosecution’s case against the Florida woman.
Teen Hospitalized in Critical Condition
Emergency responders rushed the teenage victim to the hospital, where she was listed in critical condition following the attack.
Authorities said officers responding to the scene attempted to speak with Le after the stabbing, but she allegedly refused to cooperate with investigators and was taken into custody.
The violent nature of the incident initially led prosecutors to charge Le with attempted murder, a charge that carried the possibility of a lengthy prison sentence if convicted.

Judge Dismisses Attempted Murder Charge
Despite the seriousness of the allegations, court records show that on May 4, Le was ultimately convicted of aggravated battery, while the attempted murder charge was dismissed.
The court sentenced her to 180 days in jail followed by seven years of probation in connection with the attack.
Reports indicate that Le is not currently in custody, a development that has sparked discussion online due to the severity of the allegations and the extent of the victim’s injuries.
