Franklin Man Arrested After Bellingham Road Rage Incident

BELLINGHAM, MA – A 61-year-old Franklin man faces multiple criminal charges after allegedly pointing a loaded gun at another driver during a road rage dispute in Bellingham Tuesday evening.

The Altercation on Maple Street

Bellingham Police officers responded to a disturbance call on Maple Street around 6:45 p.m. Investigators at the scene quickly gathered details about the suspect’s vehicle and identity, immediately alerting authorities in neighboring Franklin.

Arrest at Local Restaurant

A short time later, police located the suspect vehicle parked outside the 99 Restaurant in Franklin. Officers approached the vehicle and arrested Stephen Fahey, 61, of Franklin.

During the arrest, authorities recovered a loaded firearm from inside the vehicle.

Charges and Arraignment

Fahey has been officially charged with:

  • Assault with a dangerous weapon
  • Carrying a firearm while intoxicated
  • Disturbing the peace

The suspect was arraigned Wednesday morning in Milford District Court. Information regarding his legal representation was not immediately available.
