Miami-Dade Mother Held Without Bond After 8-Year-Old Daughter Discovered Starved and Abused

MIAMI, FL — A South Florida woman has been arrested and jailed without bond following a harrowing child abuse investigation. Authorities allege the mother systematically starved her 8-year-old daughter, forcing her to forage for food in the trash while claiming the groceries inside the home were strictly reserved for “guests.”

Naseline Timouche, 27, faces severe felony charges including aggravated child abuse with great bodily harm and child neglect after a local witness stepped in to protect the young girl.

A Pattern of Midnight Beatings and Extreme Deprivation

The investigation was launched on Saturday, June 6, 2026, when deputies with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office responded to a report concerning the young girl’s welfare. Upon arrival, investigators immediately observed that the 8-year-old was covered in numerous physical scars and marks in various stages of healing.

According to the probable cause arrest affidavit, the child detailed a horrific routine of physical abuse and severe nutritional neglect:

  • Forced to Eat Trash: The victim told specialized child recovery detectives that she was strictly forbidden from touching any food inside the residence because her mother told her it was meant only for “guests.” Instead, she was forced to eat expired items or whatever she could pull out of the garbage.
  • Weapons Used in Assaults: The girl stated that her mother would routinely wake her up in the middle of the night “for no apparent reason” to beat her. The affidavit notes the child had distinct scars matching strikes from a phone charging cord, a frying pan, and a metal spatula.
  • Abandonment: The 8-year-old also revealed she was routinely left home alone for extended periods, including entire nights without adult supervision.

A Vigilant Neighbor Steps In

The cycle of abuse began to unravel thanks to a compassionate community member who noticed signs of distress approximately two months ago.

The witness told deputies she grew highly concerned for the girl’s well-being and began secretly feeding her and offering her a safe place to stay.

On the night of Friday, June 5, the witness spotted the 8-year-old wandering the neighborhood completely unsupervised in the dark and immediately brought her into her home for safety before authorities were alerted.

Mother’s Confession and Current Legal Status

When confronted by Miami-Dade detectives and advised of her Miranda rights, Timouche allegedly made several damning admissions.

She confessed to striking her daughter with a charging cord and admitted she had been out partying all night, returning home at 5:00 AM on Saturday.

Furthermore, despite realizing her 8-year-old child was completely missing from the home when she returned, Timouche admitted she never called 911 to report her disappearance.

“The defendant knowingly and willfully failed to provide her children with the care, supervision and services necessary to maintain the child’s physical and mental health that a prudent person would consider essential for the well-being of a child,” deputies wrote in the formal complaint.

Timouche was processed and booked into the Miami-Dade Jail, where a judge ordered her to be held without bond due to the extreme severity of the physical injuries inflicted upon the child. The victim has been placed into the emergency medical custody of Florida’s child protective services.

This case only came to light because a neighbor chose to get involved rather than looking the other way. Do you believe local municipalities should launch broader public awareness campaigns to teach citizens how to spot and securely report subtle signs of child starvation and neighborhood neglect?
