Macedon, New York — A former upstate New York teacher and military veteran has been indicted on federal charges after authorities say he allegedly operated a prostitution enterprise out of his home for several years.
Federal prosecutors in the Western District of New York announced charges against Eric Simpson, 66, who previously worked as a technology teacher in the North Rose-Wolcott Central School District. Investigators claim Simpson organized and hosted gatherings at his home in Macedon where commercial sex workers were brought in to provide services to guests.
“Prosecutors allege the defendant regularly organized and promoted prostitution parties at his residence between 2021 and late 2025.”
Simpson was arraigned in federal court and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Federal indictment outlines alleged operation
According to the indictment filed on March 10, Simpson allegedly used his residence to host events where commercial sex workers were invited to perform services for guests.
Prosecutors say Simpson “promoted, managed, and carried on prostitution parties” at the property over a period of several years.
The indictment also claims Simpson arranged for sex workers to attend the gatherings and made them available for both himself and attendees invited to the events.
Investigators allege he also used email communications to advertise the parties, including sharing information about which workers would be present during specific events.
Prosecutors say Simpson organized event logistics
Federal court documents claim Simpson handled many of the operational details for the gatherings.
Authorities allege he:
- Sent emails advertising upcoming events
- Provided lists of workers who would attend
- Directed guests where to park to avoid attention
- Managed which rooms were available for guests
- Set an admission fee or “cover charge” for entry
The indictment also claims guests were instructed to negotiate payments directly with the individuals providing services.
“Authorities allege the events were promoted through email messages that outlined logistics and attendance details.”
Background as teacher and National Guard officer
According to public records and professional profiles, Simpson previously served 29 years in the New York National Guard.
During his military career, he reportedly served overseas deployments in Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan before finishing his service as a commissioned officer in Rochester and Troy, New York in 2010.
After leaving military service, Simpson worked in education. He previously served as a substitute English teacher in Monroe County Public Schools and later held a position as a technology teacher in the North Rose-Wolcott Central School District.
District officials confirmed he resigned from his teaching position in January, according to statements reported by local media outlets.
Charge involves interstate prostitution enterprise
Simpson has been charged with one count of using interstate facilities to promote, manage, establish, carry on, or facilitate a prostitution enterprise.
This federal charge generally involves using communication systems such as email, phone, or other interstate channels to coordinate or promote illegal commercial sex activity.
