KCPD Seeks Public’s Help Identifying Armed-Robbery Suspect Ahead of Thanksgiving

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect connected to a robbery that occurred just days before Thanksgiving.

According to police, the incident happened at approximately 5:46 p.m. on Nov. 23, 2025, at a parking garage near Main Street in Kansas City. Authorities described the incident as a strong-armed robbery, indicating that force or the threat of force was used during the crime.

Investigators with the Kansas City Police Department confirmed that a suspect has been identified internally, but the individual’s name has not yet been released publicly as the investigation remains ongoing.

What Police Have Shared So Far

Police have not released detailed information about what property was taken or whether a weapon was displayed during the robbery. However, officials emphasized that the incident occurred during the early evening hours, a time when parking garages in the downtown area often experience high pedestrian traffic.

Detectives are continuing to review evidence related to the case, including witness statements and any available surveillance footage from the parking structure and surrounding area.

Public Assistance Requested

Authorities are urging anyone who may have been in the area around Main Street at the time of the robbery to come forward if they noticed suspicious activity or believe they may have information relevant to the case.

Even seemingly minor details could help investigators move the case forward, police said.

How to Share Information

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Kansas City Police directly. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the department’s Crime Stoppers program.

Police remind the public not to approach or attempt to confront any suspected individuals themselves and to leave all investigative efforts to law enforcement.

The Kansas City Police Department says updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
