SAN MARINO, CA – Police are asking for the public’s help to identify four male suspects who broke into a San Marino home while the residents were inside late last month.
The Break-In on Patton Way
The incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. on May 29 in the 1200 block of Patton Way, located just two blocks east of Lacy Park.
According to the San Marino Police Department, the homeowners were in their upstairs bedroom when they heard a loud banging sound coming from the first floor. One of the victims shouted to see if anyone was downstairs, but received no response.
Surveillance Video Captures Suspects
Home surveillance footage later revealed that four male suspects had entered the backyard. The group shattered the glass window pane of a rear French door to gain entry into the house.
The suspects are described as four males who were wearing:
- Hooded sweatshirts and sweatpants
- Facial coverings
- Gloves
- Carrying communication devices
The suspects fled the scene without stealing any items from the property.
Massive Search Yields No Arrests
Following the emergency call, a massive containment perimeter was quickly established. The San Marino Police Department received immediate backup from the Alhambra, South Pasadena, and Pasadena Police Departments, including a Pasadena police helicopter unit.
Despite an extensive search of the neighborhood, the suspects were not located.
