Dodge-Point Soccer Wins First Post-Season Game

October 20

Tuesday marked the Varsity Dodge-Point soccer team’s post-season kick-off, as they played their first playoff game against Reedsburg that night. They did quite well, too, ending with a classy 6-1 victory. Even more impressive considering the night was cold, wet, and generally unpleasant, but these guys stuck it out like champs; kudos to them (meanwhile, I was freezing my butt off in four different layers of thermal and weather protection gear). Malachi Strompolis contributed to that victory via scoring while Drew Hottenstien contributed with an assist. Both of these fine fellows (and the rest of the team) provided their talents to ensure their glorious victory. Here’s hoping that can keep this up, as while they may have won this game handily, they will have to face Wisconsin Dells next on Saturday at Harris Park in Dodgeville. Looks like it’s gonna be another exciting one, folks!
