The Mineral Point Varsity Boys Basketball team traveled to Southwestern on Thursday, beating out their opponents with a hefty 72-57 point victory. It was a whole different ball game compared to Tuesday’s game, turning the tables on their previous results and snatching another win for the books, despite their continuous fouls. In terms of heavy scorers during the game, we have Joah Filardo scoring 26 points, Ian Keyes scoring 13 points, and both Liam Stumpf and Cameron Wiegman scoring 10 points each. According to Liam, his favorite part of the game was the pass he made to Bodie Bossert and Bodie’s subsequent three-point basket as a result. Overall, I think the team played quite well throughout the game and the number of points they put on the board can definitely attest to that. Let’s see if they can do this again come Saturday on their game against LaCrosse-Aquinas at 6:00 at home.
