Dodge Point Soccer Keeps Streak Alive

Currently sitting atop the Southwest Wisconsin Conference, Dodge Point United traveled to River Valley looking to keep that up, last night, and they did just that. DP United took home the 1-0 win after kicking off early due to River Valley Homecoming activities. The lone goal for DP was scored by Dodgeville Junior Cooper Elsener on an assist by Hayden Bakken. Once again, the goalkeeping of Jake Sheckel, along with the entire squad’s defense, helped Dodge Point shut out the opponent. Maintaining possession of the ball early and late in the contest helped Dodge Point reach their ultimate goal. In JV action, Dodge Point took home the 2-0 win over the Black Hawks. Mineral Point’s Matthew Goninen and Derek Hottenstein each scored one for DP.
