Pointers Light It Up Against Riverdale

Thursday night, The Pointers started off the conference season with a win over Riverdale 71-26. Joah Filardo led the Pointers with 27 points becoming the 7th player in Mineral Point boys basketball history to surpass the 1,000 point mark. Bryce Acherman and Owen Ward each had 5 rebounds to lead the Pointers. Dominik McVay and Drew Hottenstein each had 5 assists. Joah Filardo added on his accomplishment, “It was nice to get it done on the homecourt and the support was unreal.” In JV action, the Pointers defeated Riverdale 71 to 12 with 28 points from Alex Ross including 8 three-pointers.
