Pointers Get Thrilling Win Against Rival Redbirds in Double Overtime

Last Thursday, the boys’ varsity knocked off another top 10 opponents in the Darlington Redbirds by a score of 77-76 in 2ot. Leyton Bowers had a last-second and-1 with 1.6 seconds left and made the free throw to put the Pointers up by 1 with barely any time left. Four Pointers scored in double figures: Leyton Bowers 26, Joah Filardo and Eli Lindsey each added 12, and Dominick McVay 10. In JV action the boys won by a score of 52-49. The Redbirds could not get a shot off in time at the end of the game to try and tie it, therefore the Pointer Varsity team goes to 10-2 ranked in the top 10 in D4, and the Jv boys move to 9-1.
