Thursday night, the Dodge-Point-Iowa-Grant gymnastics team traveled to Platteville to compete in their conference meet. The team started slightly shaky on bars and beam but finished very strong on the floor and vault. Multiple girls on the team got personal high scores on their events. The team also got their floor season-high score with a 35.4. The team’s final score was 133.6, only .6 ahead of the Plattville co-op, making them conference champions! Ashlie Baumgartner placed 2nd on vault. During this meet, they also announced all-conference Ashlie made 2nd team all-conference for bars and honorable mention on floor. The girls’ next meet is Sectionals, on February 26th, which decides who will make it to state.
