In Pointer action last night the volleyball teams took a trip to Iowa Grant Schools to take on the Panthers. It was a good opener game, the girls took the win 3-0. They started the night off with a bang 25 – 12. Then, they dominated the second set 26 – 16. They swept the Panthers away with one more win 25 – 13. Added on to the win, the top stat leaders were the following:

Kills – Kennedy Wenger – 6, Kennedy Kabat – 6, Mackenzie Ripp – 6
Blocks – Mackenzie Ripp – 1, Morgan Lee – 1
Assists – Mackenzie Aurit – 17, Bre Goninen – 9
Aces – Regan Suddeth – 6
Digs – Regan Suddeth – 13, Kennedy Wenger – 9

Coach Kabat commented, last night, “It was a great team effort and everyone contributed to the win. We have a big couple of matches coming up, so we are glad to come out with a quick win tonight. Now getting ready for Darlington and Cuba City!”
The JV1 and JV2 teams also took part last night. The JV1 team won 3 sets over the Panthers, 25 – 13, 25 – 11, 18 – 16. The JV2 team was also victorious scoring 18 – 25, 25 – 16, 15 – 13, winning 2 sets!
