JV Volleyball Team Takes Gold at the Wisconsin Heights Tournament

Saturday morning the JV Pointer volleyball team took an early trip to Wisconsin Heights High School. The girls started with a match right away. They played pool play against Oregon and Palmyra-Eagle. They won both matches with scores in the Oregon games of 25 – 21 and 25 – 18 and wins against Palmyra-Eagle 25 – 5 and 25 – 16. This placed the girls into the gold bracket.

The team knew the gold bracket would be tough because there were many other talented teams as well. They started off the bracket with a win, against Wisconsin Heights with scores of 25 – 17 and 25 – 13. In the Championship game, they defeated the Barneveld Eagles 25 – 17 and 25 – 11, winning in two sets! The girls had a very exciting day winning all of their sets and going home with no losses.
