The Mineral Point Girls Basketball team improved their overall record to 3-0 last night by crushing the River Valley Blackhawks in a non-conference game 81-28. Mineral Point once again leaned heavily on their pressure defense causing many turnovers and resulting in easy layups. Leading the Pointers in scoring was Katelyn Cox with 19 points. Laci Lindsey had 15 points and Belle Watters added ten of her own. 

The JV team also won advancing their record to 3-0 and defeating the Blackhawks 75-22. The top scorers of the night were Liz Hoffman leading the team with 18 points. Jerrie Jo Johnson added 16 points of her own, followed by Jadyn Schultz adding another 15 to the board.

The Pointers play their first conference game of the season on December 2. They will travel to Fennimore to take on the Fennimore Golden Eagles, who currently have a record of 1-1.
