After the successful 21-22 season which brought the Dodgeville-Mineral Point-Iowa Grant Gymnastics team to the Wisconsin State Gymnastics meet, the team is back for more.
This year, the team welcomes a large number of new athletes: freshmen Izzy Potterton, Gabi Kinney, Kenadi Loy, Mylee Anderson, Chloe Klinzing, Kiera Hazer, Alaina Nelson from Dodgeville High School, and senior Margot Fretard (exchange student) from Mineral Point High School.
We also wish a good comeback to the returning gymnasts: juniors Lilliana Vivian and Angelica Peat from Iowa Grant, sophomores Ava Lord and Andrea James, junior Brooklyn Murphy from Dodgeville, juniors Ally Baehler and Erica Lease, and senior Alana Dubois from Mineral Point. All of them are excited to resume training and share time with the new gymnasts.
Lilliana Vivian said, “ This season I would like to get a back layout and also get closer to the incoming gymnasts this year.” Alana Dubois said, ” My goal for the team this year is to build good bonds with each other and improve the team relationships. As the only senior I’m excited to lead the new members of the team”.

The Coach for this season is Julia Oellerich. She has been in this position for about 5 years and is as passionate as ever.

She said after the first meet, “ As you can see from Saturday’s meet, the girls have been working really hard to get ready. Most, if not all of the teams that were at the meet had already competed in a meet or two, while we were competing for the first time this season. I am very happy with how the girls performed, and how well they kept their focus and controlled their nerves yesterday. We had several personal bests on both JV and varsity, a lot of new skills being implemented in their routines, several “new to us” gymnasts competing, and overall a really great start to another strong season.”
