MP Girls Basketball Wins in Darlington

The Pointers traveled to Darlington last night to take on the Redbirds.
The JV fell to the Redbirds in overtime with a score of 48-43. The Pointers were led by Reagan Galle who had 14 points, followed by Jadyn Schultz who had 12.
Varsity took the court and started off strong right from tip-off. The Pointers played great both defensively and offensively. They held the Redbirds to only 11 points in the first half, making the score 34-11 at halftime. The Pointers played a very good second half as well and defeating the Redbirds 55-31.
Belle Watters led the Pointers scoring 14 points, including 2 three-pointers. Katelyn Cox added 11 along with Laci Lindsey who added 8 more of her own also including 2 threes. Winning this game put the Pointers in a position to win another conference title. The Pointers will host the Southwestern Wildcats on Friday, who are currently 2-5 in the conference.
