Last night the Lady Pointers traveled to Cuba City to play the Cubans. JV crushed the Cubans with a final score of 42-27. The top scorers were Katelyn Cox and Morgan Lee, both scoring 11 points. The varsity had a tough battle against the Cubans but pulled through with a 49-47 win. Top scorer, Ella Chambers, scored a mighty 17 points! Ella said, “It was great to be playing again, and it was nice to see our athletes back on the court in front of a small but vocal crowd! I don’t think we played up to our standards, but we did what we needed to do in the end to get a win. We will improve and get better with each game!” Also, Macy Aschliman added 8 points, while Jade Nodolf added 6 points. The Lady Pointers will host the Boscobel Bulldogs Thursday night, JV starting at 6, with varsity to follow. No fans will be allowed in the gym.
