JV Pointer Football Shuts Out the Pec/Argyle Vikings
Sep 7, 2022
The JV Pointer football team hosted the Pec/Argyle Vikings on September 7th. The Pointers had something to prove after a disappointing loss against Cuba City last week.
The first quarter started slow for both sides. The Pointers had a great drive with time running out in the first quarter, Jaxson Wendhausen carried the ball in the endzone giving the Pointers the 14-point lead after the successful two-point conversion. “It was great seeing our defense come together as a whole,” quarterback Jaxson Wendhausen said.
The Pointers came rolling in at the end of the second quarter with a touchdown scoring drive with a 25-yard pass from Jaxson Wendhausen to Grady Finley.
The third quarter came out scoreless for both sides in a defensive battle. Brett Bossert had a fourth-quarter pick to give the Pointers the offensive possession to run the rest of the clock out.
The Pointers won 14-0 and play at Potosi next week.
